Today

Today I am taking some time to focus on what I love to do....and what is that? If you know me, you know it's party planning and design! I have spent too much time lately on things that don't make me or my family happy! Things are changing in my life and I'm so excited about it!!!

Mark is working hard!

Mark has been working hard tonight to finish the bid for his 1st (presale) house. He is so excited and I'm so proud of him! Way to go, hubby!

Lance's BIG 40

Our pastor recently turned 40, so as my gift, I assisted his precious wife/my friend, in planning his 40th b-day bash! We only had a couple weeks to throw it together, so it was simple, but nice...and he was surprised!!! It had a hounds tooth theme (as were are ALABAMA fans, but I'm not a fan of tacky Roll Tide decor!).

Harper Bug and I went to the "Gillespie Flea Market" today! I found some neat architectual pieces! I can't decide if I want to place them in a clients home or save them for my new home!!! I spoke to the manager about renting a booth there...I'm on the list which has a six month wait, however, family gets moved to the front! LOL! Hopefully I'll be able to get a space soon. And I'm sure Mark is hoping that this will fix my desire to reopen my store! (Which I desperately miss!!!)

My first party (since I started making a business out of parties) is tomorrow night. I'm so excited! Then I have to start planning my sweet nephew, Grant's! I'm ready to "get this party (business) started"!

1st appt

Oh, my! I'm so excited! I'm meeting with my first official client tomorrow and I haven't even told put a few people my plans! God puts us in the right place at the right time! This lady was a wonderful client @ Lighting Impressions, who became a special friend! Maybe I'll make the big announcement next week! Woohoo!!! As of right now I have one party each month for the next 4 months! Praying for one a week once I get this going!!! Help me spread the word, friends!

Finally, a few mintues to work on this!

By the time, you my friends, read this, it'll be old news!!! :) I'm trying to gather info and photos before I start asking people to follow me. I haven't even told my closest friends the details of my new adventure, "Nora Jo Designs". Not that Nora Jo Designs is anything new or different from what I've been dabbling in for years, it's just going to be a career rather than a hobby! NO, I'm not giving up real estate right now...it pays the bills, kinda! LOL! I just love design and party planning! I love seeing people happy with the final results! I fill fulfilled when I use my God-given creative talent! 

For those if you who don't know my family, I have absolutely two of the most beautiful children!!! Anna "Caroline" is 4 yrs old and "Harper" Cyle is 17 months old (better know as "brudder")! My children bring so much joy to my life! Some mornings I wake up and just want to play with them all day! That's why I pray I'll never have to have a "real job"! :) We love swimming in the kiddie pool, going to the zoo, visiting Bridge Street and many more outside activities. Inside....well, we all get bored very easily!!! Mark, my husband of almost 8yrs, is a builder/landscaper. He also loves the outdoors, but not so much since he works outside all the time! He is a loving father and a great husband!

Real Estate...currently my real estate career is busy! I love working with people and trying to find them the perfect house for their current needs! I'm honored that friends choose me to assist them with such a big decision! I work at MarMac Real Estate with a huge family of REALTORS. I can't imagine working at any other office!

Well, I must cook dinner for the family! Hopefully I'll finish loading pics soon so that I can realise Nora Jo Designs!!!

New at this!

Hello, blog world! I'm new at this! My friend, Mandy, insist that I should give it a try! My life is full....a few businesses, a one yr old, a four year old, a 33 yr old husband (lol), many hobbies, a huge family, a wonderful church and great friends! I juggle alot, but at the end of the day, it's all worth it!!! I'm trying to simplify my life! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Lol!

Today I decided on a name for my design/event planning business! "Nora Jo Designs" is named after my two grandmothers, Nora Sullivan and Jossie Harp. Two very different ladies, but both made such a lasting impression on my life!

Nora Jo Designs will focus on party and event planning (including put not limited to: family and school reunions, birthday parties, baby and wedding showers, holiday parties, weddings, etc...), staging homes for sale, holiday decorating, and interior design. I'm so excited about this new adventure! I've done all these things for years, but have just now decided to make it an official business (since friends have encouraged me to for years)! I'm working on gathering pictures of my past projects. If you have any pictures of my work, please email them to me!  I will start booking events at the end of this month, so help me spread the word! My business will not grow without the help of my awesome friends and family!

Well, it's time to rub myself down with calamine lotion! I have poison oak all over me! Yuck! Good night, friends!
